Cake Poker began operating in 2005 and have had a decent growth all the way. The site (and network) is open to Americans, which is partly why so many players have moved their play there. However, on average you will see about 2000 players online simultaneously.

Tournaments
Despite the somewhat moderate traffic, Cake Poker puts a lot of faith in tournaments - with lots of guarantees and satellites. The range of tournaments is almost equal to what you will see on a big site such as Full Tilt. However, it will not quite measure up if you are a regular in the bigger tournaments online. Software
The software Cake Poker uses is very realistic, and has a 3D option. The first thing you'll notice is that each avatar on the table is photographed. The graphics resemble those of Ongame, but with more variety. The lobby has had a lot of improvements lately, but still lacks a few practictal functions. A nifty feature is that you are able to change your poker nickname, making tracking of your play and results impossible for others.
